Community Access Tickets

Our Community Access Tickets program is designed to welcome folks into the SAL community, eliminating price as a barrier. Co-presented by the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle.

We believe that reading, writing, and creative thinking are indispensable to a curious, engaged, democratic society. Our goal is to make these experiences available to as many people as possible, regardless of economic circumstances—which is why we offer low-cost ticket options at SAL, as well as our Community Access Tickets (CAT) program.

At every SAL event, we offer the following low-cost tickets:

  • Students (of any age) and those age 25 & under: $7
  • Reduced Price tickets: $10
  • Free day-of tickets for teens through TeenTix. Adult companion tickets: $5.

However, we know that not everyone is able to afford the full ticket price. If you are experiencing economic hardship and would like to be entered into a drawing for free tickets to any SAL event, scroll down to our “Apply” section and fill out a CAT application.

How it works: For in-person events, we offer at least 10 – 20 free tickets per event, depending on each venue’s seating capacity. For online viewing, Digital Passes are available for every event.

The selection is randomized by computer, and if selected, you will be notified via email two weeks prior to each event.
