Rio Chanae is a neo soul musician and spoken word artist. Two time Grand Slam Champion, two time Battle of the Word champion, ranked at 12th spoken word poet in the world (Individual World Poetry Slam 2018), and featured in the award winning docuseries,“The Story of Art in America” on Amazon Prime. A survivor of sexual assault and mental illness, Rio showcases, in raw form, the reality of neurodivergency, the continuous process of growth and healing, and the experience of being a Black femme in America. “Isolation is a killer.
