Nancy Tollefson

Nancy Tollefson

Nancy is a Washington native and a former bond trader who worked Wall Street hours for thirty-two years, getting up at 4:00 am every day. Outside of her work with SAL, which she’s involved with because it’s “the best book club,” Nancy volunteers as a Study Zone tutor for the Bellevue Library and as an on-call assistant for Bellevue Lifespring. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Puget Sound.

Nancy can also often be found walking her 6-year-old black lab, Ole, or up at Camano Island, either crabbing or just sitting in front of a fire reading a good book. (She also pretends she can play golf from time to time.) If Nancy starred in a book-to-movie adaptation, she would play Bernadette Fox in Where’d You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple. Her favorite genre is literary fiction, and her recommendations for you are: East of Eden by John Steinbeck, The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, and Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.
