Adhya Kona
22/23 YPL Cohort
Adhya Kona is a junior at Tesla STEM High School in Redmond, a proud daughter and Indian-American, and goes by the pronouns she and her. She thinks the word “genuine” is highly underrated, currently has about three dozen titles on her always-growing reading list, and has well over a thousand songs in her eclectic favorites collection on Spotify. She has a love for writing about the stories science has to tell that is fundamentally no different from the ardent fulfillment she finds in writing poetry, and as a Youth Poet Laureate she wants to forge a path in scientific and humanistic communication that puts the beauty of pathos, openness, and creativity at its forefront.
