SAL/on air
SAL/on air is a literary podcast featuring the best author talks from over thirty-seven years of Seattle Arts & Lectures’ programming.
Charles Yu
Charles Yu published his first novel, How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe in 2010, and in 2020, his novel Interior Chinatown won the National Book Award for fiction. As the National Book Award judges wrote, “Written in the form of a screenplay with porous boundaries, Yu’s wonderfully inventive work spotlights the welter of obstacles its everyman protagonist must confront in a profoundly racist, rigidly hierarchical world as he does his best—in the story of his own life—to land a decent role.”
