Youth Poetry Open Mic: Welcoming National Poetry Month

Past Event: Sunday, April 8, 2018

At Open Books: A Poem Emporium

Join us for an open mic night at the beautiful Open Books bookstore, where youth poets will unapologetically share their work with 2017/18 Seattle Youth Poet Laureate, Lily Baumgart.

This event is free, open to the public, and for youth writers who’ve read zero, ten, or a hundred times before! Come for this celebration of youth voice, and consider sharing your work in honor of National Poetry Month.

Learn about the Youth Poet Laureate program from Lily, and pick up a paper application for the this year’s new Seattle Youth Poet Laureate (to be named this May)!
