Join us for an extraordinary evening of literary talent with the Pulitzer Prize-winning voices of the future! Student writers from 27 schools throughout the Puget Sound Region and Seattle Children’s Hospital will share original poems, short stories, and memoirs created during their residencies with the Writers in the Schools (WITS) program.
This event is free and open to the public.
WITS students will read from their work over two nights—with elementary and middle school students reading on Wednesday, May 30, and middle and high school students reading on Thursday, May 31. A reception will follow with delicious cupcakes courtesy of Cupcake Royale.
Published chapbooks compiling the work of all student readers will be available to students and teachers who are part of the 2017/18 WITS program.
