Join Seattle Arts & Lectures for our community event, Sweet Words, to make some literary valentines—and eat some pancakes!

Who do you need to tell you love them? Your mom? Your bestie? Your living literary crush? Yourself? If you’re into things like getting creative, putting love into the world, eating pancakes (gluten free and vegan pancakes available; we love all eaters), and meeting new friends, come through!

All ages are welcome to attend and encouraged to craft personal love poems for whoever your heart desires. Interested in erasure poems? Poetry collages? Try your hand at a variety of literary activities; all materials will be provided.

Tickets are free, but registration is required. (And donations are greatly appreciated!)

Transportation & Parking

Located in Seattle’s Central District, the Made Space community center is served by the #2 bus, and is close to the #3 and #48 bus stops.

Parking is free street parking for 2 hours in a residential neighborhood.

The Wheelchair Accessible entrance at Made Space is located 20th Ave, just past Union, along the north side of the building.

ADA-friendly and gender inclusive restrooms are available.
