Collection of Your Personal Information
From time to time, we may we ask you to provide personal information, such as your email address, name, address, or telephone number. We may also collect demographic information, such as your age, gender, preferences, and interests. If you purchase something from us, we may ask for additional information, such as your credit card number and billing address.
We may collect information about your interaction with SAL’s web site and services. For example, we may obtain the site you came from, the search engine and the keywords you use to find our site, and the pages you view within our site. We may also use technologies, such as cookies and web beacons (described below), to collect information about the pages you view, the links you click and other actions you take. Additionally, we collect certain standard information that your browser sends to every web site you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and language.
When you receive promotional email or other communications from SAL, we may use web beacons (described below), customized links or similar technologies to determine whether the email has been opened and which links you click.
Information collected through the SAL web site may be combined with information obtained by SAL through other means, such as information obtained from other organizations.
Use of Your Personal Information
SAL collects and uses your personal information to operate and improve its web site and services.
We also use your personal information to communicate with you. For example, we may send you emails or promotional mailings to inform you of services available from SAL or upcoming events. Unless you ask us not to, we may also provide your mailing address to other organizations we select so that they may send you information about their products or services. We do not provide your email address.
Personal information collected on SAL sites and services may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which SAL or its or service providers maintain facilities.
Some services or events may be offered by SAL in conjunction with another organization. In such case, both SAL and the other organization may receive information collected in conjunction with the services or events.
We may hire other companies to provide services on our behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of communications, hosting web sites, or processing transactions. We may provide your personal information to them in order to assist them in providing their service. In addition, we may access or disclose information about you, including the content of your communications, in order to: (a) comply with the law or respond to lawful requests or legal process; (b) protect the rights or property of SAL or our customers, including the enforcement of our agreements or policies governing your use of the services; or (c) act on a good faith belief that such access or disclosure is necessary to protect the personal safety of SAL employees, customers or the public.
Security of Your Personal Information
SAL will use commercially reasonable efforts to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, due to computer hackers, electronic malfunctions, and other events, SAL cannot guaranty that such safeguards will always protect such information. If a password is used to help protect your accounts and personal information, it is your responsibility to keep your password confidential. Do not share this information with anyone. If you are sharing a computer with anyone you should always log out before leaving a site or service to protect access to your information from subsequent users.

The SAL web site is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Use of Cookies and Web Beacons
We may use “cookies” to enhance your online experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.
One of the primary purposes of cookies is to store your preferences and other information on your computer in order to save you time by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information and to display your personalized content on your later visits to the same site.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to use features or services that depend on cookies.
SAL web pages may contain electronic images known as web beacons – sometimes called single-pixel gifs – that may be used to assist in delivering cookies and allow us to count users who have visited those pages. We may also include web beacons in electronic communications to you in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon. We may use web beacons to compile aggregated statistics about web site usage, such as how many visitors clicked on key elements (such as links or graphics) on a web page. We may share such statistics with other companies.
