Jeffrey Toobin is a senior news analyst for CNN and a staff writer at The New Yorker, where he has covered legal affairs since 1993.
Toobin earned his B.A. from Harvard, where he covered sports for The Harvard Crimson using the column name “Inner Toobin,” and went on to Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He has written several critically acclaimed, best-selling books including A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President (2000); Too Close to Call: The Thirty-Six-Day Battle to Decide the 2000 Election (2001); and The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court (2007), which described the intricate workings and conflicts of the court in meticulous and entertaining detail.
As the nation prepares to vote in the 2012 presidential election, the future of the Supreme Court will also be on the ballot.
