2020 Summer Book Bingo is Here—And Early!

Due to popular demand, everyone’s favorite free summer reading challenge is back early this year for both adults and kids! Download your Adult Board here or your Kid Board here.

Keep track of your spring and summer reads from now until September 8, 2020 by writing the title and author in the matching square, and submit your board by mail, in person, or through social media for a chance to win awesome prizes! Book titles may be used only once per card, and only one entry per person.

Need suggestions for your squares?

For custom-crafted recommendations, visit your local branch of The Seattle Public Library online or fill out a brief form at www.spl.org/yournext5, and one of Seattle’s expert librarians will recommend five books just for you.

For “Recommended by a Library or an Independent Bookseller,” consider going to The Seattle Public Library’s Summer Book Bingo page and click on a square for ideas. Or ask one of our many SAL’s bookstore partners through the phone or online, and go visit them when they open back up. They always have great recs!

For your “SAL Speaker (past or upcoming)” square, and many other categories, consider our recent authors like Amor Towles or Tayari Jones, or one or more of the incredible writers featured in our events archive on lectures.org. We’ll also be posting category recommendations from SAL staff and community members for every square throughout the summer on our blog.

Book Bingo also has a vibrant social media following, so keep the conversation going by using the hashtag #BookBingoNW2020 wherever you post.

How do I win?

Bingo: Complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line! Turn in your card and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a gift card to an independent bookstore.

Blackout: Complete all 25 squares! Turn in your card and you’ll be entered into a drawing for one of three grand prizes, including a subscription to the 2020/21 SAL series of your choice!

How do I submit my Adult Book Bingo card for the prize drawing?
