Photo Gallery: Geraldine Brooks at McCaw Hall

On January 28, renowned journalist and novelist Geraldine Brooks spoke as part of SAL’s Literary Arts Series, at McCaw Hall. SAL Executive Director Ruth Dickey introduced the program and moderated their conversation. A performance by The Bushwick Book Club opened the night’s program, followed by Ahlam Khaleefa, a student from Washington Middle School who read her vivid poem, “Where I’m From”, a piece she created while participating in WITS with Writer-in-Residence Daemond Arrindell.
