Photo Gallery: Anthony Doerr at Benaroya Hall

On November 18, acclaimed writer Anthony Doerr presented his inspiring lecture, “Some Thoughts On the Importance of Artistic Failure In Six Parts” as part of SAL’s Literary Arts Series, at Benaroya Hall. SAL Executive Director Ruth Dickey introduced the program and moderated their conversation. Graeme Richards, a student from View Ridge Elementary School who participated in WITS with Writer-in-Residence Kathleen Flenniken, opened the evening with his poignant poem, “Paris, Le Canal Saint-Martin”.
